The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is located downtown on the banks of the Concho River in a building that has gained international recognition. It features changing exhibitions from all cultures and has a distinguished collection that is particularly strong in contemporary American ceramics. The Museum offers extensive education activities and programs all year long. It received the National Museum Service award from the Institute of Museum and Library Services for its unique level of community engagement.
